Hypercubism manifesto and philosophy 2025

INTRODUCTION

Hypercubism is a complete system developed by Anssi Matias Miettinen, bringing cubism into the 2020s by transforming the fragmentation of form into the fragmentation of perception, and expanding multidimensional thinking into the layers of mind and consciousness. Where the Cubists broke reality into pieces and left it dispersed, hypercubism reconstructs it, reorganizing reality through matter, thought, and awareness.

Hypercubism unifies:

  • the structural logic of cubism
  • a dimensional theory of mind and consciousness
  • material-based and ecological painting
  • a philosophical system and an artistic process

The system is grounded in seven years of documented development:

This thesis contains reflections on self-examination and related methods carried out and developed over seven years, as well as their connection to visual
art. In the text, the interaction of the third, fourth and fifth dimensions is also
brought out as completely new ideas according to personal views and experiences. Most of the text is the author’s personal speculation about the topics in
question. They are then the end result of the conclusions of one person and
individual, not so much a result or claim proven by research.
Inside the cube is the idea of overlapping and interacting dimensions of the
other, conceptually. The text discusses the interaction of dimensions and their
expression in the style of cubism and the author’s personal ways of thinking
and producing paintings.
In the text, we take turns working on the topic, referring to the stories in the
Bible, the author’s personal introspection, as well as to the writings of science
and history.
The central idea of the thesis is also to put all the reflections and thoughts
towards to the final work, which has been put into the form of a painting. The
painted final work is the result of self-examination, fine art studies, both in theory and practice, and a constructed vision of life and reality. The text also covers the process as a painter, the interaction between theory and images, and
useful insights. With this thesis, everything ties together into one big picture of
reality, thought and the forces that interact in these.
