HYPERCUBISM, PART I

INTRODUCTION

Hypercubism is a complete system developed by Anssi Matias Miettinen, bringing cubism into the 2020s by transforming the fragmentation of form into the fragmentation of perception, and expanding multidimensional thinking into the layers of mind and consciousness. Where the Cubists broke reality into pieces and left it dispersed, hypercubism reconstructs it, reorganizing reality through matter, thought, and awareness.

Hypercubism unifies:

  • the structural logic of cubism
  • a dimensional theory of mind and consciousness
  • material-based and ecological painting
  • a philosophical system and an artistic process

The system is grounded in seven years of documented development:

  • White Room – metaphysics of the self-to-self dialogue, 2018
  • Life Is in the Shape of a Circle – method of self-analysis, 2019-2020
  • Dimensions Speak – dimensional theory of thought. 2022
  • Inside the Cube – thesis and theoretical-artistic synthesis, 2024
  • Revelation (2024) – first hypercubist study
  • Hypercubism – Part I – manifesto, philosophy and artist´s text, 2025

Core of the hypercubist system:

  • 3D = information and interaction
  • 4D =mind and thought
  • 5D = consciousness

Hypercubism is not merely a visual language; it is a comprehensive method of thinking and artistic work, where philosophy, image, and material form a unified system. It is currently the most developed hypercubist system in existence within the art field.
